Another new episode of KonoSuba!

Many will be waiting for the return of the popular anime adaptation of "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!" And although the third season is scheduled to return until April 10, it turns out that the first episode was leaked a few days ago supposedly from the materials of a Crunchyroll panel at Comic Con Puerto Rico 2024.

But if you thought things had ended there, you were wrong. This morning the second episode of this third season has already been leaked to the servers of Nyaa.Land, a popular site focused on anime piracy. The leak arrives in excellent quality (1080p), but with English subtitles in hardsub format (i.e. the subtitles are part of the video, and are not a separate file).

Sometimes it is normal for premiere episodes to be leaked if there is a preview on a platform in Japan (for example, series that premiere a week in advance on ABEMA TV). However, the fact that two premiere episodes were leaked well before the official premiere date certainly raises concerns.

It is more than evident that the leak comes from the aforementioned event, since all the leaked episodes come from series listed in the schedule of the event. However, since Crunchyroll was in charge of delivering these materials and is listed as in charge of these premieres, it is also responsible for these important leaks. How will the multiple production committees that were affected by this situation respond?

As for "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!", the third season is scheduled to premiere on April 10 in Japan. However, if you already had access to these leaked episodes, then you will have to wait until April 24 to watch a new episode (i.e. the third). Production is handled by Drive Studios, whose work on the franchise was already seen with the spin-off "KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!" in Spring-2023 (April-June).
