An ogre romance will come with My Oni Girl
On Studio Colorido's official site, the production of their fourth original film titled "My Oni Girl (Suki Demo Kirai na Amanojaku)" was announced. The press release included the main promotional video, which shows a snippet of the main theme song titled "Uso Janai" and performed by ZUTOMAYO.
The film is scheduled to be released on May 24 in theaters in Japan, and on the same day it will be available through the global catalog of the Netflix platform. After Netflix distributed the film "A Whisker Away" in 2020, the two companies announced a multi-year collaboration to produce three new original films.

- Tomotaka Shibayama (Ao no Exorcist, Hai to Gensou no Grimgar, Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu) is directing the feature film at Studio Colorido, and is also writing and supervising the scripts in collaboration with Yuuko Kakihara (2022 Urusei Yatsura, Digimon Adventure tri., Heaven's Lost Property).
- Masafumi Yokota (Mahoutsukai no Yome, Mahoutsukai no Yome) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
- Mina Kubota (A Whisker Away, Kaleido Star, Macross Delta) is composing the soundtrack.
Synopsis of My Oni Girl
Hiiragi, a first-year high school student, longs to get along with others and not be disliked, but he is unable to say no when someone asks him for something. One summer day, while unsuccessfully carrying out yet another request, he meets an oni girl named Tsumugi, who has come to the human world in search of her mother. He does whatever he wants and is the complete opposite of Hiiragi. Studio Colorido presents this YA fantasy story that unfolds over the course of a wintry summer.
